I recently realized the power of the word “welcome.” When I remember to welcome, I remind myself to welcome what I feel, which helps me fight against resisting how I feel.
I often really don’t like the impact of my caregiving responsibilities. I have tried to talk myself out how I feel; I recently realized just welcoming these feelings makes me feel so much better. Welcoming the emotions, rather than judging them, helps me feel my through to feeling better. (Welcome is the keyword for our fourth stage of the six caregiving stages.)
