My dad completed a driving assessment on Wednesday. He did not want to complete the assessment but did it because I requested it. It was a long day of testing for him and a long day of managing the situation for me.
I was beat on Thursday. I worked until about 3 p.m. and then threw in the towel. I couldn’t keep my eyes open.
I wonder: How do you recover after these tough appointments for you and your caree? What’s the challenge in finding time for your recovery?
I look forward to reading about your solutions.

Right now it’s 9:17 am. My husband is still asleep and it’s quiet and I’m writing to you :)
Recovering isn’t easy as you say there is little time to do that. So I find time to recover when Paul falls asleep at night and I turn on my audio book I’m reading and stick in one ear bud and enjoy. One ear bud so I can make sure I can hear him( even though I’m right beside him). So that’s how I get over each day because each day a million things happen. Again trying to explain how I cope to friends is pointless. I know this post is for caregivers who always understand.
